    I can’t find Dorothy Hutchings named as living with Harriet Britton in the Clovelly 1841 census. https://www.genuki.org.uk/big/eng/DEV/Clovelly/Clovelly1841

    Harriets daughter also named Harriet married George Burdick Hutchings (Hutchins) in the 1841 Northam census. https://www.genuki.org.uk/big/eng/DEV/Northam/AppledoreCensus1841

    Where does Dorothy Hutchings fit in the family?

      I’ve had a quick look at this and will return to it when I have more time.

      Dorothy is listed as 8 in the census.
      Familysearch shows a Dorothy Burdick Hutchings christened on 28/3/1832. Parents George Burdick Hutchings and Jane.

      George married Harriett Britton in 1836, so perhaps he had a previous wife Jane who died between 1832 and 1836?
